Ashfield College has been successfully maximising every student’s full potential for over 30 years.
Whether your goal is to study medicine, or to help you gain a place on the perfect 3rd Level course for you, Ashfield College provides the teaching expertise and resources to support your exam success.
Ashfield teachers are highly qualified and vastly experienced in preparing students for the Leaving Certificate.
They combine a genuine love of their subjects with a proven track-record of success in second level state examinations.
Many are published authors of Leaving Cert text books, while others are Leaving Cert assistant examiners.

Our Teachers have created superb, professionally produced and bound class-notes covering the entire syllabus, including accurate solutions to exam questions and subject-specific exam technique, all of which is vital for Leaving Certificate Exam success.
These much sought after notes, are regularly updated, and prove invaluable to all our our students.

We pride ourselves on helping our students choose the best route to realise their ambitions. This involves careful subject choice, study planning, and guidance while choosing their University course. A very high percentage of our graduates get directly into the course of their choice. We are Ireland’s number one feeder school for this reason.
Ashfield College’s Leaving Certificate teaching programme offers a choice of 23 subjects at Higher and Ordinary level.
Unlike many other secondary schools, timetables are designed to suit each student, which means that subject choices are unrestricted so each student is able to study the ideal combination of subjects to suit their individual needs.

Supervised Study is incorporated daily in each student’s timetable.
Ashfield College’s study hall is continuously supervised which allows a completely distraction-free environment for our students.
Leaving Certificate students are assigned target grades in each of their subjects at the beginning of the academic year, this helps our students to focus on recognising and achieving their potential.
Monthly assessments are carried out in each subject allowing students to review their progress with their mentor.
Official school test are carried out in October, Christmas and at Easter. 6th Year students complete a full mock examination in all subjects. 5th Year students sit school exams in October, Christmas, Easter and in May.

Ashfield College strives to ensure all students are valued as individuals who have their own specific needs and requirements.
Our in-house guidance services provide one-on-one career guidance counselling to ensure students make an informed decision regarding their CAO application and our Pastoral Care team provide support and guidance throughout the year with an emphasis on student well-being.
Throughout the academic year we have talks, seminars, and well-being initiatives for students.

Extra SubjectsAshfield College offers students the opportunity to study an ‘extra’ subject that they may not have studied previously. This option is also available to external students.
The extra subject allows students the opportunity to study a subject that holds particular interest for them and, furthermore, offers valuable options when it comes to CAO points. Extra subjects are scheduled from 5 pm – 6.30 pm twice weekly in Spanish, Music, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science, Home Economics, Applied Maths and Classical Studies.
The entire syllabus is completed in one year. Click here to learn more about studying an extra subject…
