Two nights per week, commencing September 2017 for 30 weeks
Students who have obtained an A or high B grade at higher level in Maths in their junior cycle and Transition Year studies and who have a keen interest in using Maths to solve practical problems are ideal candidates for Applied Maths. The course can be enjoyable and rewarding and can be a useful stepping stone for students interested in pursuing a third level course in subjects such as engineering, financial mathematics and the natural and social sciences.

Nigel Macmillan has over 10 years experience teaching Maths, Physics and Applied Maths. He holds a Honours Degree in Engineering and a Masters in teaching and learning. He is passionate about teaching and achieving the best for his students. He has created a course of physics video lessons covering all aspects of the Leaving Certificate physics course.
There are 10 questions on the exam paper that students must answer any six questions. There are no compulsory questions on the paper. The exam accounts for 100% of the marks in Applied Maths.
